St. John’s CEO is optimistic about ACA benefits to women (November 2, 2012)

When SCOTUS decided the Affordable Care Act was constitutional, conservative leaders vowed to repeal the law. But an expert in Wyoming said he was pretty sure most health care and insurance providers would keep certain parts of the reform, regardless of what happened to the law. In this interview asked him about it.

Host Intro: The fate of the Affordable Care Act has been a sticking point for both presidential candidates. Mitt Romney has said he intends to repeal it, while President Obama has promised to protect the promises it makes to reform parts of the healthcare system. Dr. Louis Hochheiser, CEO of St. John’s Medical Center, has studied the ACA, and says the law is already breaking down barriers, especially for women.
